Zenit announced the inclusion of point guard Shabazz Napier in the team’s application.
The 30-year-old American has resumed training with the team and can take part in matches. The basketball player suffered a ligament injury in his right ankle in September 2021 in the final match of the VTB United League Super Cup against CSKA Moscow (73:81) and has not appeared on the court since. Napier moved to Zenit in July 2021.

Zenit also announced that team captain Mateusz Ponitka resumed training after a nose injury. Center Arturas Gudaitis continues to work on an individual program and should return to the general group in the near future. Defender Denis Zakharov is training full time, while Conner Frankamp continues to recover from an ankle injury.
Tomorrow, February 25, Zenit will play the Euroleague regular season match against Barcelona at home. The start is scheduled for 20.00 (Moscow time).
