Zenit and CSKA are among the top twenty teams in Europe for the 2020 financial year, TASS reports citing a UEFA comparative report.
With 214 million euros, the Petersburg club took 17th place in the list in terms of income, ahead of Everton (212 million), Valencia (210 million) and Lyon (194 million). The army team became 18th in the ranking of teams in terms of “net capital” – 141 million euros. The Moscow club was ahead of Athletic (137 million) and Leipzig (131 million).
The best in terms of income among European clubs were Barcelona (€730m), Real Madrid (€715m) and Bayern Munich (€634m).
