Vettel: “I don’t want to lose places with a long history”

Formula-1

Aston Martin driver Sebastian Vettel said Formula 1 should strive to keep the classic Grand Prix on the calendar.

“It is always interesting to visit new places, provided that these are good and right places for us. Of course, you hope that the new tracks will complement the classic ones. I don’t want to lose places with a long history: it would be terrible to lose Melbourne and the main tracks of Europe.

The organizers have a financial interest in spending weekends in new countries – after all, F-1 is a business. But for us, sport is our passion. We don’t look at F1» as a business, so classic tracks mean a lot to us because of their history and traditions, ”Motorsport quotes Vettel.
