Pilot “Red bull” Max Verstappen spoke about the extension of the contract with the team. The new agreement is valid until end of 2028.
“I enjoy being with Red Bull, so the choice to stay with the team until the end of the 2028 season was an easy one. I love this team and last year was just incredible. Our goal from the moment we started working together was to win the championship. We have achieved this, so now it’s about keeping the first number in the long term, ”the press service of the team quoted Verstappen as saying.
Verstappen has been with Red Bull since 2016. In the 2021 season, the driver became the Formula 1 champion for the first time in his career.
The first stage of the 2022 season will be held from 18 to 20 March in Bahrain.
