The tournament in Indian Wells (USA) issued a statement regarding the participation in the competition of the second racket of the world Novak Djokovic. The 34-year-old Serb, despite the inability to enter the United States, got into the main draw of the tournament.
“Novak Djokovic is on the tournament list and therefore was drawnvke. We are in contact with his team. However, there is still no certainty about his participation in the tournament. It is not clear if he will be able to enter the country,” the organizers said in a statement on Twitter.
Recall that US law prohibits the entry of people who have not been vaccinated against the coronavirus. Djokovic, who categorically refuses to be vaccinated, has already missed several tournaments for this reason, including the Australian Open.
