Williams pilot Nicholas Latifi’s brakes caught fire on the second day of testing in Bahrain. The race was stopped by red flags.

The rider tried to get to the pit lane, but he skidded and left the car. The marshals, together with Latifi, put out the fire.

Then the mechanics of “Williams” with the help of a loader and a crane lifted the car and took it off the track to the box.

Latifi also returned to the team’s garage, and that could be the end of his morning session, depending on how badly the rear of the car was damaged.

The session of the second day of testing in Bahrain for the rest of the teams was resumed after some time.
