The NHL will play several games in Finland and the Czech Republic next season

NHL commissioner Gary Bettman said he will play several games next season in Finland and the Czech Republic. It is also planned to several pre-season games in Switzerland and Germany.

In 2023, the Winter Classics match, traditionally held outdoors, will be held at the baseball stadium “Fenway Park» in Boston. Previously, this arena hosted an NHL game in 2010. Exact dates will be announced later.

The NHL has played games outside of the United States and Canada since 1997. The games have previously been held in cities such as Stockholm, Helsinki, Prague, London, Berlin, Gothenburg, Tokyo and Saitama.

Recall that the NHL planned to hold matches in Europe in 2020, but due to the coronavirus pandemic, they have not yet taken place.
