The head of the ATP, Andrea Gaudenzi, spoke about the progress of the investigation against the German tennis player Alexander Zverev in connection with allegations of domestic violence.

“The investigation is ongoing. We have engaged an independent third party who has expertise in this area and can assist with the investigation. I cannot comment on the details of the investigation, but I can say that we will provide more facts when the investigation is completed.

I am glad that last year we did a very detailed study of the issue of security. As a result, we came up with a set of recommendations to ensure that everyone in professional tennis is protected from abuse.»— quotes the words of Gaudenzi Spox.

Earlier, Zverev’s ex-girlfriend Olga Sharypova accused him of domestic violence. She stated that the tennis player beat her, and showed screenshots of correspondence with photographs of beatings.

In December, Zverev said he had filed a lawsuit against those who accuse him.
