The Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix will remain one of the Formula 1 stages until at least 2025, according to the press service of the racing series.
This stage was included in the calendar of the World Cup for the first time in 2020. The debut “Grand Prix” under this name was held at the circuit named after Enzo and Dino Ferrari in Imola in 2020.
The first race in Imola was held in 1980 – then it was called the Italian Grand Prix. Since 1981, the stage has been called the “Grand Prix of San Marino” and was held until 2006.
Formula 1 left Imola after the 2006 race – a serious reconstruction was started at the circuit under the supervision of the architectural bureau Hermann Tilke.
