Seven hockey players of the Latvian national team in Beijing passed positive tests for coronavirus


Seven players of the Latvian national ice hockey team have tested positive for coronavirus upon arrival in Beijing.

According to the team’s official Twitter account on February 3, five hockey players are allowed to break the isolation regime before passing retests. Two more players must remain isolated.

The men’s ice hockey tournament at the 2022 Olympics kicks off on February 9. The national team of Latvia at the preliminary stage will play in the same group with the teams of Sweden (February 10), Finland (February 11) and Slovakia (February 13).
