Russian and Belarusian pilots can compete in races under the auspices of the International Automobile Federation (FIA) if they sign a special document.
According to RIA Novosti with reference to the FIA website, riders need to sign a declaration of commitment to the principles of peace and political neutrality of the organization, which states that they are forbidden to use the word “Russian”.
On Tuesday, March 1, the FIA banned competitions in Russia and Belarus. Athletes from these countries will be allowed to participate in international competitions only under a neutral flag, without national symbols and anthem.
