The Polish basketball club Zielona Gora has announced its withdrawal from the VTB United League.
“We want to thank the VTB United League for these three years of top-level sports competitions. Now, however, there are things that are more important than basketball. We are completing our participation in the tournament draw, ”TASS quotes the text of the team’s statement.
Zielona Gora has been playing in the VTB United League since the 2018/19 season. This season the team has played 13 matches in the championship, scoring 2 victories and suffering 11 defeats.
Yesterday, February 24, it became known that the Estonian “Kalev” also left the VTB United League.
