Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has confirmed that the club tried to sign striker Harry Kane last summer. Transfer failed.
“We tried to sign a striker, but it was far from that, because it was clear to Tottenham that this would not happen,” journalist Fabrizio Romanov quotes Guardiola on Twitter.
Kane has made 33 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring 15 goals and providing 3 assists.
The striker’s contract with the London club runs until June 30, 2024. Transfermarkt value the Englishman at 100 million euros.
