Ferrari’s Russian test driver Robert Shvartsman will replace the team’s main drivers at the Grand Prix practices in the 2022 season.
This was announced by Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz in a video published by the Ferrari press service.
“We will have a young pilot. And at two stages of the “Grand Prix” in one of our fireballs should be Robert Schwartzman. I hope he will show his best side and keep our car intact,” said Leclerc.
In the 2021 season, Schwartzman took second place in the Formula 2 individual standings. The rider played for the Prema team. At the end of the season, the Russian announced that he was leaving the racing series.
In January 2022, a Russian tested driving a Ferrari SF71H car.
