Lakers may terminate Westbrook’s contract


Point guard Russell Westbrook could leave Lakers at the end of the 2021/22 season. According to Bleacher Report, both the club and the player are interested in leaving the basketball player to another team in the summer.

Westbrook moved to the Lakers last summer in a trade from Washington. Under his current contract, he can activate the option and earn $47.1 million over the next season.

Westbrook has played in 60 NBA games this season, averaging 18.1 points, 7.7 rebounds and 7.3 assists.
