Kontaveit won the WTA tournament in St. Petersburg

Estonian tennis player Anett Kontaveit became the winner of the WTA tournament in St. Petersburg (Russia).

In the final, she defeated Maria Sakkari from Greece with a score of 5:7, 7:6 (7:4), 7:5. The game lasted 3 hours.





Kontaveit made 3 aces and 3 double faults. She also converted 4 out of 14 break points. Sakkari fired 3 passes and converted 4 break point out of 11.

This is Kontaveit’s sixth WTA title. She last won a tournament in Romania in October 2021.
