KHL players took part in a charity match

On February 15, as part of the Pause Tournament, Kazan hosted the sixth Hockey for Everyone charity match — children with disabilities, players from KHL clubs, as well as politicians and public figures of Tatarstan took part in it, the KHL website reports.

The teams “Meteor” and “Vympel” traditionally fought for the victory: they included 10 children with impaired motor functions each. They moved across the ice in wheelchairs or special wheelchairs with the support of escorts. The navigators included Alexander Burmistrov and Dmitry Yudin (Ak Bars), Pavel Poryadin and Marat Khairullin (Neftekhimik), Daniil Tesanov and Georgy Ivanov (Lokomotiv), Andrey Alekseev and Ivan Yemets (Severstal) .





Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, General Manager of Ak Bars Marat Valiullin, Mufti of the Republic of Tatarstan Kamil Khazrat Samigullin, Olympic hockey champion Sergei Shepelev also took to the ice with their children.

The teams played two periods of 20 minutes, the match ended in a draw with a score of 7:7. After the match, the children were presented with medals and gifts from Ak Bars and the Tatarstan Ice Hockey Federation.
