Former head coach of the Russian national team Guus Hiddink praised the game of Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema in the second leg of the Champions League quarter-finals against Chelsea (2:3 extra time).
“It was a very tense game after the first leg which ended in a 3-1 victory for the away side at Stamford Bridge! Chelsea played well. However, Benzema is an extra-class player in terms of finishing moments! – leads the “Championship” Hiddink’s words.
Real Madrid beat Chelsea 5-4 on aggregate thanks to Benzema’s overtime goal in the second leg.
In the semi-finals, Real Madrid will face the winners of the Champions League quarter-final pair, Atlético Madrid – Manchester City.
