Formula 1 has announced that there will be no increase in the number of sprint qualifications in 2022. Thus, three sprints will again take place.
This format will be applied at the stages in Imola, Austria and Brazil.
Last season, the new format debuted in F1 with races in the UK, Italy and Brazil. It was assumed that in the new season their number will increase. Nevertheless, the teams did not agree on the terms: the top teams called for an increase in the spending cap, while the rest opposed it.
