In 2022, the minimum weight of a Formula 1 car has increased to 795 kg, but this is not the limit. According to Racingnews365, at the tests in Bahrain, the team leaders agreed to increase the minimum weight to 798 kg.
The reason for the increase in weight is due to the attempts of engineers to solve the problem with the buildup of cars on straight lines.
Now the agreement between the teams must be approved by the Formula 1 Commission and the World Council, which will meet on March 18.
