Felix Magath named new head coach of Hertha Berlin

Hertha Berlin have announced the appointment of Felix Magath as head coach of the team.

The contract with the 68-year-old German specialist is valid until the end of the 2021/22 season.





Magath has not worked as a head coach since December 2017, when he headed the Chinese side Shandong Luneng. After his dismissal from this team, he worked as the director of the Austrian Admira Wacker and the German Würzburg. Magath has been unemployed since May 2021.

Earlier, Hertha sacked the previous head coach, Typhoon Korkut.

The Berlin team occupies the penultimate, 17th place in the standings of the German championship with 23 points in 26 matches.
