Spanish tennis player Alejandro Davidovich-Fokina commented on reaching the semifinals of the Masters series tournament in Monte Carlo.
“I am very, very happy. Last year I reached the quarterfinals. Emotions from the fact that I am in the semifinals are very vivid. I enjoy every match. In the first set, I had many chances to make a break, but it did not work out. However, I just kept my focus and believed in myself.” — cites the words of Davidovich-Fokin on the ATP website.
The Spaniard also said that the victory over Novak Djokovic (6:3, 6:7 (5:7), 6:1) in the second round.
“Beating number 1 gives you confidence physically and mentally and helps your technique. I force myself to play better and better in every match,” added Davidovich-Fokina.
In the semi-final of the tournament in Monte Carlo, the 46th racket of the world will play with the winner of the pair Grigor Dimitrov – Hubert Hurkach.
