Former CSKA defender Vladimir Ponomarev, in a conversation with a SE correspondent, reacted to the double of the Basel striker Fyodor Chalov in the match against St. Gallen.
“I said that Chalov would fit in well with a creative company, where they like to tinker with the ball, give a good pass. He is a very technical player. Maybe we rushed and gave it away early. But it’s okay, let him play there, feel confident, and then return back to CSKA, ”Ponomarev told SE.
Earlier, on February 1, CSKA announced the transfer of 23-year-old Chalov to Basel. The 23-year-old striker will play for the Swiss club on loan until the end of this season.
