Bradley Beal to miss rest of NBA season

Basketball

Washington Capitals shooting guard Bradley Beal will no longer play this season.

According to The Athletic, the 28-year-old American will undergo surgery to repair a torn tendon in his left hand. He will need several months to recover, so he will no longer be able to help the team in the NBA regular season and playoffs.

Beal has played in 40 games this season, averaging 23.2 points, 4.7 rebounds and 6.6 assists.

As a reminder, Beal could become an unrestricted free agent next summer if he uses an option in his contract.
