Alfa Romeo pilot Valtteri Bottas spoke about working with Mercedes, where he was teammate Lewis Hamilton.
“I was Lewis’ partner for five years, and now, thinking about it, I understand that this is a great honor. After all, we can say that he is a living legend! He’s a great guy and a great, really fast racer. He certainly made me work hard to try and get ahead of him.
Sometimes it was possible, but at the end of the season – no. It just so happened. Sooner or later you meet a rider who is better than you and you have to admit it. For me, this is normal. I am glad that sometimes, when I was at the peak of my form, I was able to overcome him.»– quotes the official website of Formula 1 as Bottas said.
Bottas moved to Alfa Romeo at the end of the 2021 season, having previously played for Mercedes for 5 years in a row.
The first round of the 2022 Formula 1 season will take place from 18 to 20 March in Bahrain.
