The Aston Martin team has created a new racing simulator for the convenience of the pilot Sebastian Vettel. The device was built using a real 2021 cockpit, according to Motorsport.
The device consists of a real racing seat and controls and is equipped with three monitors that provide the driver with a complete picture of the track. There are even rear-view mirrors, however, on non-standard brackets.
The team claims the simulator has been installed at Vettel’s home in Germany since last fall.
Vettel had a hard time adjusting to the new Aston Martin car last year, and due to his busy schedule, he wasn’t always able to work on the simulator before the race weekend.
