The head coach of Sporting Ruben Amorim called the second leg of the 1/8 finals of the Champions League against Manchester City (0:0) difficult.
“It was a difficult match. In the second half we improved, and the skill [Маркуса] Edwards helped. I am pleased with the result – it’s always nice not to lose to such a strong opponent,” Amorim was quoted as saying by the UEFA press service.
In the first match, Manchester City won a big victory (5: 0), so they reached the 1/4 finals of the Champions League. The opponent will be determined by the results of the draw, which will take place on March 18.
