Alexander Ovechkin named second NHL Star of the Day


Forward “Washington” Alexander Ovechkin is recognized as the second star of the day in the NHL.

In the regular season match against the Carolinas (4:3 B), the Russian equalized in the third period and turned the game into overtime, and also made the winning shot in the shootout.

The first star of the day was Florida Florida forward Jonathan Huberdeau, who scored a double in the 3-0 game against Anaheim.

The third star of the day is Buffalo Buffalo goaltender Dustin Tokarski, who saved all 24 shots on goal in a 1-0 OT win over Calgary.
